With the increasing use of modern technology in the construction sector, the need for aluminium has also increased. Different forms of aluminium such as sheet, extrusion or composite panel, which we encounter in almost every field of technological life, have started to be applied more and more frequently in architecture.
In the automotive sector, aluminium, which can be used for many different purposes depending on the production method, is mainly used in visual accessories, bodywork and safety equipment.
Aluminium, which weighs one third of steel, offers many advantages in the construction industry with its light weight, corrosion resistance, specific strength, lack of oxygen permeability, high thermal and electrical conductivity and easy formability. At the same time, the recycling feature of aluminium is also important for the construction sector. Since aluminium can be recycled, it requires less energy in the production process compared to production from ore and thus contributes to the reduction of both global energy consumption and related atmospheric emissions. In addition, unlike conventional construction materials, aluminium, which is preferred for fire resistance, does not burn or melt unless it exceeds 650 degrees Celsius. It does not cause any smoke or toxic gas output as long as it is exposed to heat. With this feature, it is defined as A1 class building material according to European fire regulations. It is precisely for these reasons that we, as PMS Aluminium, serve the construction sector in profile and plate production with our long years of experience and technological infrastructure.
